Social mobility
What is social mobility? The definition of social mobility is the ability of individuals to move upward or downward in status based on wealth, occupation, education, or some other social variable.
The dashboards placed on this page represent lower, middle and upper class income levels by occupation. The dashboards provide a way to see which occupations have incomes that could support different types of households and the amount an individual or family needs to earn in order to overcome poverty.

What can this dashboard do? It can show categories on different occupations in different fields. It can show the amount an individual or family needs to make in order to overcome being placed in poverty. You can select a box in the table “Household composition” with the specific household and a row will appear in both “annual expenses” and “household “table that displays data. The dashboard allows you to select specific fiscal years, programs or locations as is appropriate for the data. Detailed information is available by hovering the cursor over different parts of the visualization, which can be enlarged by entering “Focus mode”.
