The General Relief program provides assistance to eligible adults who are deemed able to work, and those adults who are deemed unable to work due to a mental or physical disability. General Relief eligibility is determined within 45 calendar days of receipt of a completed application. Eligible participants may receive direct payments to their landlords and/or utility companies. General Relief payments are considered a loan and must be repaid.
The maximum benefit someone may receive is $310/month. Some individuals qualify for a reduced payment or $13/month towards incidental expenses.
